**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates
- Operate light metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, air and heat ducts.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.

**Qualifications**
- Skilled in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and measurement devices essential for quality control.
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining principles, and quality inspection standards.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
