TRANSPORT CAR-FRE is looking for a qualified and experienced **Roofer** to join our team in Sherwood Park, AB.

**Duties**:
**Prepare and install residential roof covering systems to protect the structure and contents of buildings and other surfaces.**
- Maintain the appearance of roofs by prepping them, installing roof coverings that are in good repair, and performing regular maintenance to ensure the surfaces are in good condition.
- Ensure that all work-related equipment is in good working order.
- Install roof coverings that are manufactured for us by a subcontractor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years - Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools - Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel - Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings - Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions Work conditions and physical capabilities - Fast-paced environment - Physically demanding - Bending, crouching, kneeling - Repetitive tasks Personal suitability - Team player - Work Term: Permanent - Work Language: English - Hours: 40 hours per week

**Qualifications**:
**Must be able to read and understand English. Spanish is preferred.**
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

**Salary**: Up to $40.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sherwood Park, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- roofing: 1 year (preferred)
