Position Overview: As a member of the Professional Services team, we seek individuals who possess a solid information systems background, have an aptitude for business analytics, and are excited about making a meaningful contribution to a small and growing company and its customer base. Experience in required. Knowledge of the retail business would be a plus. Role & Responsibilities: Understand and embrace user requirements and effectively scope level of effort Serve as the technical support on customer implementations Assist in analyzing and mapping source data for the Aptos software product Assist in developing and configuring data routines from the source extract to the data warehouse Troubleshooting data load processes from source extract into the data warehouse Document and test the business logic of source data to the Aptos software product Develop and learn to build the BI layer in MicroStrategy to connect the data warehouse to Aptos product functionality Develop skills in order to configure, develop, test, and tune BI components, including Metrics, Reports, Dashboards, and Playbooks Coordination and communication between IT and business users Build relationship with customer teams; both technical and on the business side Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or something similar Exposure to Business Intelligence or Business Analytics solutions. MicroStrategy highly preferred Proficiency in SQL Basic understanding of data warehousing (IE Netezza, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle) Database performance tuning is a plus. Basic knowledge of UNIX commands. Customer-facing delivery role focused on software implementation. Enthusiasm to contribute in a team-oriented environment Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving atmosphere Readiness to go the extra mile for customer and internal success Capacity to multi-task and prioritize work to ensure commitments are met Desire to work in an information systems environment Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Ability to present information in an understandable and compelling manner Travel: Ability to travel 40-50% of the time Location: Montreal or Atlanta preferred, but remote is available LI-TM1
