At VIA HFR, we are re-imagining passenger rail service on behalf of the Government of Canada Our goal is to create a new sustainable train network that that will run faster, more often and will be more reliable between Toronto and Québec City. The HFR project is Canada's largest infrastructure project in generations.

**The role**

**The responsibilities**
- Translate various documents from English into French, respecting deadlines, organizational and industry quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand translation needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Manage and coordinate translation mandates with external agencies.
- Perform quality control of translations to ensure accuracy and consistency of terminology.
- Manage and update the terminology database to ensure consistent use of terms.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on the status of translations.
- Occasionally contribute to the production of editorial content.

**Assets**
- Experience in the use of computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools.
- Knowledge of the cultural and linguistic specificities of the Canadian market.
- Experience in the transportation or rail sector.

**The requirements**
- Degree in translation, linguistics or related field.
- Minimum 6 years professional experience in translation from English into French.
- Excellent command of written and spoken French and English.
- Project management skills and ability to coordinate several tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform rigorous quality control.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
