New Creations is seeking a highly skilled Restoration Technician to join our growing team of professionals. As a Restoration Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and refinishing surfaces previously thought of as unrepairable. Our specialized techniques and products make us leaders in the restoration industry.

Working in a team environment, you'll strive to provide our clients with the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. You'll also be accountable for ensuring that all work meets our quality standards and is completed within budget.

** What does a Surface Technician do?**

A New Creations Technician repairs various surfaces throughout the service area. These surfaces range from fabric and vinyl to stone and wood and others. Some of the items we work on include floors, furniture, countertops, cabinets, automotive trim panels and seats, wall panels, etc.

**What are the duties and responsibilities?**

Duties and responsibilities include updating the schedule and monitoring requests on the service platform, attending to scheduled repair requests, and interacting with customers throughout the course of the repair process. Technicians are provided a service vehicle and are responsible for basic maintenance of the vehicle as well as stocking provided tools and supplies as needed. Maintaining a reliable phone plan that allows for good communication is also a requirement.

**Who does a Technician work with?**

A technician will work closely with an administrative assistant for scheduling and logístical purposes, as well as other technicians for certain projects. During the initial 3-month training program, the technician will work closely with ownership and management to develop skills and engage directly in the repair process to ensure future success. Technicians work closely with customers and occasionally 3rd party clients depending the requirements of different customer requests.

- Use specialized products and techniques to diagnose, repair, and refinish various surfaces and substrates.
- Work as a team to provide superior customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed within budget.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma.
- Class 5 BC driver's license with abstract.
- WHMIS training (provided).
- Familiarity with color matching and finishing techniques.
- Experience in related fields such as furniture repair, autobody, finishing, automotive detailing, upholstery, and related areas is an asset.

- Effective communication skills.
