**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Planning & Execution**:
Collaborate with the Production Manager and other team members to plan and execute restoration projects, ensuring timelines and goals are met efficiently.
- **Carpentry Tasks**:
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, drywall, plastics, and other materials needed for restoration. Perform structural repairs, frame construction, drywall installation, and other essential carpentry duties.
- **Restoration-Specific Work**:
Specialize in restoring buildings and structures affected by fire, water, mold, or wind damage. Ensure that repairs are made to match the original construction, adhering to restoration best practices.
- **Quality Control**:
Ensure all work complies with company standards, building codes, and restoration best practices. Conduct thorough inspections of work to maintain high-quality craftsmanship.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:
Work closely with other trades (e.g., plumbers, electricians) and communicate regularly with project supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are progressing smoothly.
- **Material Management**:
Calculate material requirements and ensure that the appropriate materials are on-site to avoid delays. Coordinate with the procurement team for timely delivery of supplies.
- **Health & Safety**:
Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your team. Identify and report potential hazards on job sites, including safety risks related to water, fire, and mold damage.
- **Problem Solving**:
Identify and address any carpentry or structural issues during the restoration process. Offer practical solutions and adapt to unexpected project challenges.

**Qualifications**:

- **Certification**:
Journeyman Carpenter Certification (or equivalent) required.
- **Experience**:
3-5 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in the restoration industry preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Proficient in structural framing, finishing carpentry, and drywall installation.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and restoration standards.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
- Experience in fire, water, mold, and disaster restoration projects is an asset.
- **Physical Requirements**:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working in confined or hazardous environments.
- **Tools & Equipment**:
Must have experience using standard carpentry tools and equipment. Personal toolset required.

**Additional Skills (preferred)**:

- Certifications in IICRC, water or fire restoration are a plus.
- Knowledge of historical building restoration techniques is beneficial.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
