**the Human Resources Business Partner** will be the first point of contact for all employee relations and labour relations concerns for our two EMS services in Ontario - Elgin EMS & Chatham-Kent EMS. The HRBP will establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with internal clients, stakeholders and bargaining units. Responsible for providing proactive, effective labour relations services, including grievance handling, collective agreement interpretation, overseeing projects and ongoing consultation to all levels of management. The HRBP will work proactively with employees and management to create and maintain initiatives to reach their goals.

The HRBP will have a post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or relevant discipline plus current, progressive and extensive experience delivering a wide range of human resources services in a complex, multi-union environment. Your education and experience will be complemented either by a CPHR designation, completed or in progress.

Your communication and presentation skills are well established. You are a decision maker with a creative approach to dealing with complex situations. You work independently with accountability, are an effective team player who is highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
