Heavy Tow Truck Operator

**Pay & schedule**
- $29-$32/hour (based on experience)
- On-call bonus incentives + overtime opportunities
- Full-time; shifts may include evenings/weekends/on-call

**About the Role**

We’re hiring a skilled **Heavy Tow Truck Operator** to join our growing team You’ll operate heavy-duty tow trucks to recover, transport, and assist vehicles of all sizes safely and efficiently. If you have strong mechanical knowledge, a clean driving record, and great customer service skills — we want to hear from you

**What you’ll do**
- Handle heavy recoveries: uprights, winch-outs, jackknifes, tractor/trailer tows
- Run smart, safe rigging (load calcs, chains/straps, snatch blocks, spreader bars)
- Coordinate on-scene with police/fire/MTO; set and manage safe work zones
- Complete photo documentation and notes in our dispatch app
- Do thorough pre/post-trip inspections
- Share your know-how with light-duty teammates when needed

**Must-haves**
- Recent heavy tow experience (rotator/boom/wheel-lift on Class 7/8)
- Ontario DZ with Z endorsement and a clean abstract
- Steel-toe boots and a safety-first mindset
- Strong recovery judgment and rigging math
- Lives in Ottawa or nearby (to hit quick response timelines)
- TSSEA tow driver certificate (or working toward it)

Bonus: include a recent driver’s abstract and 2-3 examples of complex recoveries you’ve led

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 - 50 per week
