Child and Youth Workers support students in skill development, self management and problem solving to improve academic achievement. Programs are developed to meet the individual needs of each student.
- develop and provide individual behaviour management programs for students in consultation with the classroom teacher
- provide assistance for students in the acquisition, reinforcement and maintenance of academic, communication and social skill
- providing services as part of a multidisciplinary team
- can be assigned to individual students through SIP grants

**Qualifications**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Child & Youth Worker Diploma
- Minimum of one year experience
- Experience working with children and youth requiring additional educational supports from diverse ethno-cultural and racial backgrounds
- Child & Youth Care Degree and Membership in the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counselors are assets**.**

**Additional Information**:
**Rate of Pay**:
$40.89 per hour

**Schedule**:
Up to 7 hours per day between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
