Security Team Leader

**About the Job**
We are currently hiring a Security Guard Team Lead to join our organization in Cornwall, Ontario.
- Team Player.
- Solid understanding of the Skanna Culture.
- Strong communicator who can effectively engage with all stakeholders.
- Capable of working in both a team and an independent environment.
- The ability to prioritize multiple demands.
- Perform regularly scheduled site duties as required.
- Establish a professional working relationship with the client to coordinate safety on site.
- Mentor officers on-site/duty protocols and conduct, department, reporting procedures, company policy/procedures, and corporate Mission Statement and Values.
- Submit daily Shift Summaries in a concise, yet detailed, time-specific format.
- Team Leaders are expected to present themselves as department role models to site personnel, clients, and Skanna management and staff.
- Performs other duties and special projects assigned by the Operations Director, Site Supervisor, or client as required.
- Verify all vehicles entering are authorized and hold a valid vehicle pass permit.
- Coaches and mentors guard staff.
- Liaise with client, meets and exceeds expectations, and delivers exceptional customer service and security expertise for the client, their customers, and staff.
- Provides site recommendations.
**Requirements**:
- Valid Ontario Security License & CPR.
- 1-year minimum Supervisory/Team Leader Experience.
- Must have experience working outdoors for the entire shift in all weather conditions.
- Must have the ability to walk/patrol for an entire 8-hour shift.
- Must have the ability and training for dealing with difficult customers.
- Must have experience and training with de-escalation tactics and negotiation skills.
- Confident and articulate leader.
