About Us:
Explore1.ca Ltd is a dynamic and growing construction manufacturing company focused on delivering high-quality solutions for commercial and residential projects. As we expand, we are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team and lead our financial operations with a focus on cost control, compliance, and project-based accounting.

Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting function, ensuring compliance, financial accuracy, and efficiency in reporting. This role requires strong knowledge of construction manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and project-based financial tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll integration, and month-end close.

Oversee project-based accounting, including retainage, WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting, and management of Schedule of Values (SOV).

Prepare and file HST, WSIB, and other regulatory filings.

Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for projects and manage receivable collections.

Review and approve bank reconciliations and ensure cash flow visibility.

Maintain accurate cost accounting systems and manage inventory controls.

Coordinate and manage external audits and financial system reporting.

Ensure compliance with the Construction Act including lien filing processes and related protocols.

Process Payroll on biweekly basis and prepare Cheque run for vendors and subcontractors.

Provide financial insight and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
CPA designation (required).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within construction or manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of project-based and cost accounting principles.

Experience with WIP reporting, retainage, and SOV management.

Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; construction accounting software knowledge is a plus.

Familiarity with Ontario’s Construction Act and related compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
