Construction Superintendent

**Job Summary**:
The Construction Superintendent supervises on-site activities, coordinates subcontractors, enforces safety regulations, and ensures the project meets the quality standards set by the company and client. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and thorough knowledge of construction processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Site Management**:
- Oversee and coordinate all construction site activities.
- Ensure site operations are efficient, organized, and comply with project timelines.
- Supervise subcontractors, laborers, and trades, providing guidance and instruction as needed.
2. **Project Scheduling**:
- Create and manage the construction schedule, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to stay on track with project deadlines.
- Communicate daily schedules and goals to on-site workers and ensure adherence.
3. **Safety Compliance**:
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA standards, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions with the crew.
- Identify and address potential hazards, keeping safety records up to date.
4. **Quality Assurance**:
- Inspect work to ensure it meets company standards, client expectations, and project specifications.
- Address any deficiencies promptly, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Coordinate with quality control staff to verify that all work complies with regulations.
5. **Resource Management**:
- Manage site logistics, including materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Order materials as needed and ensure timely delivery to avoid project delays.
- Maintain an inventory of site supplies and equipment.
6. **Communication**:
- Act as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, and the on-site crew.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager, including progress, issues, and delays.
- Hold daily site meetings to discuss objectives, safety, and progress.
7. **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain detailed daily logs of activities, progress, and incidents on site.
- Review and sign off on work permits, inspections, and other documentation.
- Submit regular reports to the project manager regarding site status and any concerns.
8. **Problem Solving**:
- Address and resolve on-site issues as they arise, making real-time decisions to keep the project moving.
- Adjust plans and schedules as needed to accommodate unforeseen challenges.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, with a strong background in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction documents, and site plans.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
