Aecon is currently seeking a Cost Controls Coordinator to join the Connect Cité group on the ADM Station project at Montreal Trudeau airport. Under the supervision and guidance of a Project Controls Manager, the Cost Control Coordinator will be responsible for providing Project Controls and in particularly Cost Control guidance and support to the project. **What You’ll Do Here**: - Provide support in developing, establishing, and maintaining the company's project cost/control systems - Assist in monitoring of project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit) - Assist in monitoring project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented - Generate/Maintain all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, KPI) - Assist in the review and generate/analyze the cost reports and suggest corrective actions to maintain the project within anticipated cost - Provide support to the project team in budget and forecast management during execution to accurate reflect project status - Develops, or assists in the development of, quantity bases for the assumption and/or during forecasting budget - Performs data analysis, identifies problems, and makes recommendations - Ensure all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout - Creates and implements measurement systems for given processes, analyzes performance metric results, and identifies improvements - Responsible for monitoring/maintaining of project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit) **What You Bring to the Team**: - 5-7 years of related project controls construction experience - Bilingual French and English is an asset - Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes and an understanding of Controller instructions, which impact Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data) - College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience - Applied knowledge of Project Management and Cost Controls principles is an asset - Applied knowledge of the "Earned Value" principles is an asset - Ability to produce, read and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves/reports an asset - Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment - Experience with Hard Dollar/InEight and SAP ERP systems is an asset - Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) - Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees - Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge - Detail oriented - Must be able to travel to projects - Must possess valid G driver's license and have access to a vehicle **What Makes us Aecon Proud**: - Engaging and agile workplace culture, collaborative and inclusive teams - Commitment to sustainability and to becoming a net-zero company by 2050 - Investing in our people through a variety of learning and development programs such as Aecon University, BluePrint leadership program, and Project Management Academy - Variety of wellness benefits, access to virtual health care, 100% employer-paid health and dental premiums, Employee Assistance Program, Best Doctors Program, and more. - Tuition reimbursement opportunities - Recognition and rewards through Aecon Accolades, Aecon Achievement Awards and more - Employee Stock Options, Short Term Incentive Program, Retirement Savings and Pension Plan
