Classroom Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to join our team. The Classroom Assistant will at times support a student with mobility considerations. Support may be required for certain activities such as outings and navigating specific environments. The ideal staff member will provide respectful, empowering support that promotes independence and inclusion, along with supporting the teachers in providing a nurturing and educational environment for all of our young learners.

Hours:(15/week)

Monday 8:45-3

Wednesday 8:45-3

Friday 9-1130

**Duties**:

- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Supervise children in the classroom and during outdoor activities
- Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment
- Support individual students with their educational and social development
- Communicate effectively with both children and adults in the classroom
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and engaging learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
- A passion for educating and nurturing young children

Nice-to-have Skills:

- Background in early childhood education or related field

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
