Role Overview:
Leveraging your strong people skills, overall leadership and best sales practice approach, you will be responsible for the Charter Sales Team’s achievement of customer satisfaction and enablement of revenue generation. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders, Director of Sales, Manager of Flight Operations, and Director of Owner Services and their teams, to deliver exceptional customer service while driving to long-term goals aligned with Chartright’s overall business priorities, vision and values.
What You’ll Do (among other things):
- Manage the full cycle Charter Sales process including prospecting activities such as sales calls, creation of client presentations, presenting client proposals, developing trip packages and direct client follow-up following the close process
- Lead and coach the team for success in all aspects of the work
- Source and develop customer relationships, referrals and other business leads for Charter Sales as well as our Managed Aircraft business
- Know who our owner-clients are including their needs and goals and develop strategies to grow aircraft and charter revenue streams with these in mind
- Act as an ambassador of Chartright, both externally and internally
- Actively improve people practices, processes and systems to facilitate our collective goals both within and across functions
What you Bring:
- A diploma or degree in a business program
- At least 5 years of sales experience in Aviation, Transportation, Logistics or similar industry combined with a minimum 2 years’ experience leading high-growth sales teams; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong leadership skills include a people focus and ability to engage, motivate and collaborate across teams and levels with solid results
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Hands-on experience with quoting and scheduling platforms, Avianis is an asset
- Strong business acumen combined with a process-improvement focus and entrepreneurial mind-set
- Ideally you possess a network of industry contacts along with the ability to develop strong relationships or have demonstrated experience with success in a different market
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Knowledge of the Charter Sales market in Business Aviation a definite asset
