Human Resources Coordinator

Reporting to the District Manager with a dotted line to the Regional Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will provide support in the areas of Recruitment, Orientation and Onboarding, Employee/Labor Relations, Service Excellence, and Employee Engagement.
**Responsibilities**:
- Respond to general queries regarding company policies, practices, programs, and processes relating to the employee experience.
- Support the full cycle recruitment process by: including preparing job descriptions, job postings, developing interview questions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and ensuring hiring policies and procedures are followed.
- Support front-line employee onboarding by: ensuring hiring documents are completed correctly, assisting with the planning and preparation of orientation, assisting with the planning and preparation of on-the-job training routines, and acting as the first point of contact for general queries from new employees.
- Support managers in employee personnel file maintenance, creating tools that can be used to ensure compliance.
- Work with Regional Human Resources Manager to support managers in front-line employee performance management to improve employee retention
- Represent Aramark in the community to the benefit of the company through involvement in community organizations, client events etc.
- Assist with the administration of leaves of absence, including WCB leaves, and return to work programs.
- Work with management team to plan and execute engagement activities for front-line employees. Utilize Aramark employee engagement resources to create and establish best practices within the account.
- Lead account Employee Engagement Committee.
- Lead employee pre-shift meetings to promote employee engagement and service excellence initiatives.
- Additional ad hoc duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a Human Resources role.
- Labor relations experience considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to act with discretion and confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and administrative skills.
