**About the position**

This is a locally engaged staff position at an overseas Australian Diplomatic Mission.

**About the Australian Department of Defence (Defence)**

Defence conducts operations and provides support for the Australian community and civilian authorities in accordance with Government direction. Defence protects and advances Australia’s strategic interests through the provision of strategic policy, the development, delivery and sustainment of military and enabling capabilities, and the promotion of regional and global security and stability as directed by Government.

The Defence Office Manager (DOM) is responsible for managing the Defence Office at the Australian High Commission in Ottawa. The position manages and leads the financial and human resource services, whilst providing capability management and support services to the Defence Adviser, Assistant Defence Adviser and senior official visitors to the Defence Office.
