**OVERVIEW**
The Project Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, is responsible for leading projects that ensure patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency within the Diagnostic Imaging department, as well as broadly to support corporate projects. Working independently and under the direction of the Director, DI & ED and Medical Director, DI, and in partnership with the DI Management Team, the Project Manager works with and leads various improvement teams, and is specifically able to provide relevant data analysis, project management and logístical support. This role will lead ongoing improvement changes within the hospital to ensure there is an ongoing focus on efficient processes and quality improvement. The primary objective of this role is to promote care that is patient centered, timely and efficient. The incumbent maximizes the use of available resources to facilitate efficient patient throughput and patient care excellence.
Lead and manage key projects, including OBSP and OLSP, implement departmental plans, ensure accreditation preparedness, improve financial sustainability, coordinate stakeholders, enhance quality, train staff, ensure compliance, and drive innovation in Diagnostic Imaging.
**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Current MRT designation required
- Master’s degree (Business or Healthcare Administration), healthcare related certifications, and PMP are Assets
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2 to 5 years of experience designing and implementing quality/process improvement projects (in a hospital setting preferred)
- Performance improvement consulting experience preferred
- Highly developed skills in formatting/manipulating data extracted from various hospital information systems, and conducting analyses
- Strong team facilitation skills - able to provide multi-disciplinary team members with clarity on project goals and pathway to achieve success
- Excellent time management skills - can effectively manage multiple projects and address competing demands on the basis of priority
- Excellent capabilities with Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written - can succinctly convey the salient messages imbedded in large information sets
