Community Support Worker

As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals and assist them in daily activities.

**Job Details**

Locations will be throughout Nova Scotia depending on client locations

$20.00-$22.00 /per hour depending on experience plus mileage

Hours will vary depending on client needs and case assignments.

**Qualifications**

Degree/Diploma in Human/Social Services related field.

Valid Drivers License and a reliable vehicle is a **must**

Experience working with individuals that present with challenging behaviours and their families

Current First Aid /CPR, Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, Crisis Intervention Certificate

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and respect

Ability to work a variety of shifts with a variety of clients

**Job Expectations**

Build relationships with clients while supporting positive relationships with family and friends.

Transport clients to appointments, leisure activities and other outings as necessary. **Mornings and weekend availability needed.**

Organize, support and encourage community-based opportunities and relationships, including recreational/social activities according to the client’s care plan and interests

Complete and submit detailed reports, as required.

Be invested in the success of the client to meet their greatest potential for independence.

Interviews will be done in person at different locations through out the province with safety measures in place.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
