**POSITION TITLE: Field Safety Coordinator**

**GENERAL INFORMATION**:
Location: Calgary

Department: Safety

Reports to: Manager - Health & Safety

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Under the direction of the Manager - Health & Safety, this position is responsible for providing field support with a primary focus on administrating the health and safety management system. The position operates in a high paced environment, building relationships with multiple stakeholders including Superintendents, Project Managers and sub contractors. _**The role is primarily field based supporting projects in Calgary and the immediate surrounding area**_.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct regular site safety inspections and hazard assessments
- Recommend and assist with implementation of corrective actions and controls
- Assist with site risk mitigation checklist planning, including crane lifts, confined space, ground disturbance and fall protection systems
- Assist with site emergency response planning
- Develop safe work practices and safety job procedures
- Provide general site safety guidance and support
- Lead incident investigations, utilizing DNV SCAT
- Lead site toolbox safety meetings
- Conduct onsite quality review of Supervision safety documentation
- Implement or recommend disciplinary action where non-compliance is observed
- Provide coaching on safety legislation and Delnor safety program to Supervision
- Assist with annual COR audits
- Conduct internal training, where qualified
- Attend project and client meetings, when required
- Able to work in a high-paced environment
- Liaison between the field and project managers
- Additional tasks, as assigned

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education**:

- NCSO required
- Valid First Aid required.
- OHS related education an asset
- Tap Root Investigation Certificate is an asset
- Audit Experience is an asset

**Experience**: 1 - 5 years’ experience within the commercial construction field in a safety advisory or coordinator role.

**Travel**: Travel and own vehicle required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
