At WorkShop (currently operating as a subsidiary of MGA), we are dedicated to promoting local designer-maker industries that prioritize craftsmanship and environmental sustainability in their work. **Position Overview**:We are looking for a passionate and driven person to coordinate the set-up and operation of our not-for-profit retail, exhibition, and event space. As the manager, you will play a crucial role in bringing together BC makers, suppliers, and the community to create a vibrant space. Your role will encompass all aspects of the retail management and operations of WorkShop in Victoria.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with our team to identify and reach out to local designer-maker industries, artisans, and suppliers who align with our mission and product selection criteria.
- Coordinate the acquisition, display, and pricing of products in the retail space. Ensure that products meet our quality and sustainability standards.
- Assist in curating the space to create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment for customers. Maintain an organized and visually appealing product layout.
- Work with the team to develop engaging content for both online and print platforms to promote the retail space, makers, and products. Collaborate with marketing teams on content creation and distribution.
- Collaborate with the team to organize relevant public, private, and community events, including identifying opportunities, managing budgets, and actively taking part in delivery of events.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including managing inventory, staffing (hiring and supervising part-time staff as needed), and customer interactions.
- Do we list hours/days of work? They'll have to work weekends for sure, I think something like Wednesday-Sunday as well as some evenings for events.

- Keen sense of design with an eye for aesthetics and visual merchandising.
- Exceptional people skills, warmth, and an accessible demeanor to connect with creators, customers, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills managing inventory, pricing, and scheduling.
- Passion for promoting craftsmanship, sustainability, and community engagement.

**Benefits**:
