**Job Description**:

Job Purpose**:
The Line Supervisor, Sewing is responsible for coordinating and planning the activities of the sewing floor, ensuring the teams are performing at a high level and reaching daily targets. Provide Leadership to the shop floor
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review the Production Schedule daily and plan work for the line (Sewing, Down fill)
- Review the approved Sample with the Manual before production start
- Work with the Industry Engineering Techs to calculate the man power requirement and balance lines for optimum output.
- Identify Training requirements for each section/ lines and coordinate with Training Supervisor
- Review low performance (Efficiency & Quality) and work with them to create action plan s for improvements.
- Provide a safe environment with in the department and Manufacturing floor
- Request Time studies to be done on a timely basis
- Review all Production boards are up to date with accurate information for all.
- Review reports and make decisions on a timely manner
- Review with maintenance staff for all equipment are in working condition and used for the right operation
- Continuously find ways to improve the process flow to maximize output.
- Communicate and update direct reports for business updates/ Union grievances/ Management decisions.
- ** Experience, Education and Designations**:
- Over 10 years of Apparel Manufacturing experience
- 5 years of Supervisory positon ( Preferably in Apparel Industry)
- Ability to sew and follow Manual
- ** Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**:
- Ability to work with a deal effectively with a diverse group of people
- Must be familiar with Sewing operations and Machines ( industrial type)
- Ability to read and write in English
- Able to Prioritize work and delegate work
- Update the Management periodically with solutions/ action
- Must be familiar with computers and business software such as MS Office, Excel,

- Manufacturing Environment
- Able to Stand and walk for extended period of time.
