Opened in the summer of 2020, The Inn on Officers’ Garden is a new boutique hotel, dining establishment and event venue in historic Currie Barracks. It features a newly renovated kitchen.

Dining spaces at The Inn include Officers Pub, the largest dining space on site; Vino Chat and adjoining lounges The Living Room and The Snake Pit, which has billiard tables. Flanders Fine Foods provides grab-and-go service and can also do buffet service — if and when this style of dining is permitted under COVID-related restrictions.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Dishwasher. You will be responsible for cleaning, polishing and putting away all front of house glassware and utensils while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dish area and dish machines.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
- Remove trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment an asset.
- Attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, and a commitment to keep your area maintained.
- Ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated
- Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
