Financial Controller

**Your New Role and Team**

Sanctuary, a world leader in building AI-based control systems for humanoid robots, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Financial Controller for a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will partner with senior leaders to grow the business and develop and implement Sanctuary AI’s financial strategy. The Controller will report on Sanctuary AI’s financial objectives and key results while closely monitoring the company’s finances and ensuring that robust internal controls are in place.

**Our Success Criteria**:

- Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Support external audits and prepare the necessary documentation
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring the continuity of finance operations during the contract
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
- Process payroll and advise on the financial impact of HR decisions
- Oversee the Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax incentive program timesheets and filings process
- Assess current finance/accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
- Manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet obligations
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable to optimize working capital
- Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
- Maintain robust internal controls

**Your Experience**

**Qualifications**
- 10+ plus years of financial accounting, reporting, and management experience
- CPA designation
- Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS
- Experience with ERP software solutions and transitions
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
