Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Human Resource Business Partner. A successful applicant will have key responsibilities in recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, policy development and implementation, compensation administration, training and development, and special projects as required. This is a full-time, permanent position.

**The Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Talent Acquisition_
- Recruit team members including creating job descriptions, posting available positions, interviewing, selection, and onboarding
- Lead management processes for hiring and interviewing within various departments
- Maintain accurate recording of hiring processes
- Employee Relations_
- Providing advice and guidance for matters relating to compensation, benefits, training and development, health and safety, and employee relations
- Act as a cultural champion to promote an agile performance driven environment where all team members are encouraged to pursue and realize their full potential
- Coach and develop management team on development needs, action plans for development, career growth, and learning opportunities
- Receive regular feedback from different departments and facility levels used to develop better strategies for overall employee wellness
- Policy Administration_
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives
- Update current policies and procedures on a regular basis based on given information
- Aid in implementing a long-term Human Resource vision, strategy, and tactics in alignment with organizational objectives
- Utilize date to identify trends and diagnose organizational effectiveness issues

**The Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
- 3-5 years related experience
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing relationships
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Quick learner, creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Strong ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
- Experience with HRIS software would be considered an asset
