We R Diverse Bridges Ltd. is seeking responsible and motivated individuals for a laborer position, with Healthcare benefits after a probationary period.

As bridge construction/repair is a year-round operation. We R Diverse Bridges Ltd. is a bridge construction, repair, maintenance and demolition company which is based in the rural Westlock - Barrhead area. The primary region of work is Edmonton to Western and Northern Alberta. Week-long overnight trips are common, lodging will be provided when working away. Successful applicants must provide their own accommodations and transport to work on days not working away.

Personal Requirements:
Must be motivated, punctual, and reliable.
Must be an effective communicator.
Must work well as a team, and have strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to learn and adapt quickly.
Must be comfortable asking for clarification if a task is not completely understood.
Previous experience in heavy construction is considered an asset but is not required.

Valid Class 3 License
Current First Aid Certificate
Fall Arrest Training
Flagger Training
Manlift Training
Confined Space Entry Training

Job Requirements:
Expected to be part of the team and actively contribute.
Extended periods of being away from home, averaging 5 days at a time.
Extended periods of driving fleet vehicles to and from project sites.
Valid class 5 driver’s license or better.
Willing to provide a clean 3 year driver's abstract.
Must provide own transportation to the main shop located near Westlock, AB.
Able to perform physical labor.
18 years of age or older.

General Duties:
Become comfortable with the processes, steps, and potential obstacles associated with a bridge construction and repair project, in order to be an effective team member.
Follow all safety policies and procedures and provide effective feedback
Communicate effectively with the crew.
General Manual Labor.
Completing logbooks properly when transporting heavy vehicles
Other duties as assigned.

Highlights

Successful applicants will be expected to go through a 3 month probationary period.
There is an opportunity for the successful applicant to receive group and retirement benefits after the probationary period.

While working away from the main shop the successful applicant will receive accommodation and subsistence.

Competitive wages starting at $19 per hour.
