This position is eligible for our Hybrid Work Program.** **Posting ID**: 3458 **Department**: Health **Division**: Infectious Disease Control **Pay Range**: $96,256 - $128,372 **Job Type**: Contract > 1 Year **Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week **Employee Group**: MMSG **Posting Date**:September 5, 2024 **Application Deadline**: September 12, 2024 **Job Summary**: Reporting to the Manager, Sexual Health and Harm Reduction, the Supervisor will provide leadership, supervision and support to a multidisciplinary team including Public Health Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Program Assistants, and Outreach Workers, and liaise with physicians as required. The program provides sexual health services delivered through clinics across Halton, including contraception, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted infection screening, treatment, and case management. Harm reduction strategies aim to lessen the negative impact of substance use, and include needle exchange, smoking cessation, and the opioids strategy. **Duties & Responsibilities**: - Provides supervision, clinical support, and performance management of nursing, administrative, and outreach workers. - Provides consultation for staff members regarding assessment, planning and evaluation of care. - Liaises and consults with physicians as required. - Recruits staff in collaboration with Manager and division management team. - Analyses service levels and performance indicators to assist the Manager in quality assurance related responsibilities. - Develops and implements policies, procedures, protocols, and medical directives incorporating current evidence-informed leading practices. - Monitors established achievement objectives within the Ontario Public Health Standards, and reports to Manager on indicators. - Monitors budget under the direction of the Manager including the monitoring and auditing of Inventory Supply and Cash Handling protocols. - Responsible for quality assurance of program outcomes through evaluation of service outcomes, service review meetings, and documentation review. - Participates on divisional, departmental, corporate and community committees as required. - Participates in the co-ordination of maintenance, repairs, and security of clinic facilities, including the needle exchange van. - Participates in on-call after hours. - Builds and maintains community partnerships. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Skills & Qualifications**: **Essential** - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, with a current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario showing entitlement to practice with no restrictions. - Five years’ experience in public health. - Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, and manage staff. - Current knowledge/experience related to the delivery of sexual health and harm reduction services. - Comfort and experience dealing with sexual orientation and injection drug use/harm reduction issues. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Knowledge of public health trends, health promotion, social determinants of health (SDoH), and legislation and mandates governing public health. - Knowledge and experience with the Health Protection and Promotion Act, as related to sexual health and STI case management. - Experience in conducting practice audits and clinical supervision. - Knowledge and skill in project management, change management, stakeholder engagement, community/coalition development, health planning, health communications (including digital), budget monitoring, and performance measurement. - Knowledge and understanding of the standards of practice for Registered Nurses. - Demonstrated political acuity. **Preferred** - Previous supervisory experience and a Master’s degree in health, administration, or other relevant area. **Working/ Employment Conditions**: **Working Conditions** - Flexibility in working hours is required to support 24/7 on-call. - There may be periodic meetings and functions outside of regular business hours. - Travel will be required and the incumbent must provide their own transportation. - Incumbent will be required to drive a Regional vehicle t
