**Overview**
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our food service team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our clients. **Responsibilities**
- Work independently in preparation of meals according to established Fraser Health Authority approved meal plan and company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and associated areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures.
- Various tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients, setting buffets and dining room, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring positive client interactions.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure high standards are met.
- Participate in inventory management by maintaining a clean, and orderly workspace and stock areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during scheduled meal times.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for staff and our clients.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards. Food Safety or Food Handler certification an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations, and remain open to change and or feedback.
- Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
