**The Fickle Fig at YYJ is looking for professional and dedicated team players with outstanding customer service skills to join our expanding team. We are looking for individuals with Barista/café experience and availability to work 1-2 days each week with weekend availability.**

This is a unique local business where customers are treated to a farm to table experience through a rotating daily/weekly menu, with the freshest ingredients, highlighting local ingredients from farmland around the Saanich peninsula.

You will be responsible for providing prompt, friendly, customer service in our fast-paced café & bakery. We are looking for a weekend closer, with a scheduled shift from 9:30am - 5:30pm on Sundays. Other shifts may be available if the applicant is interested in exploring more hours, especially through the holidays.

**Responsibilities include** - Serving customers, preparing drinks, daily cleaning tasks, key holding closing and cash out shifts. We are open until 5pm daily.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Previous experience with barista duties an asset but will train the right person.
- Be friendly and outgoing.
- Be reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers and customers.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products.
- Have a positive personality with the ability to work under pressure.
- Previous experience with Point of Sale system required.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to anticipate customer and team needs and show initiative.
- Be able to work independently.
- Have an efficient work ethic.
- Be willing and eager to learn, asking questions when unsure.
- Be able to manage cash and balance daily deposits.
- Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Be a problem solver and use their initiative.
