**JOB OVERVIEW**

REPORTING TO THE QUALITY MANAGER, THE INCUMBENT CALIBRATES INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS. THE CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CALIBRATION OF MEASURING INSTRUMENTS FOR PRODUCTION PURPOSES. HE/SHE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING AND COMPLETING THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION AND ENSURING THAT CALIBRATION ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT WITHIN THE PRESCRIBED TIMEFRAME AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

PERFORM CALIBRATION AND VERIFICATION OF INSPECTION, MEASURING, AND TEST EQUIPMENT ACCORDING TO THE CALIBRATION SCHEDULE.

GENERATE AND MAINTAIN THE CALIBRATION SCHEDULE AND ENSURE IT IS FOLLOWED. MAINTAIN RECORDS AND CERTIFICATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH INTERNAL PROCEDURES AND QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.

TAG CALIBRATED EQUIPMENT CLEARLY AND MAINTAIN TRACEABILITY STATUS (e.g., IN-SERVICE, DUE, OUT-OF-SERVICE). COORDINATE WITH EXTERNAL CALIBRATION SERVICE PROVIDERS WHEN OUTSOURCING IS REQUIRED, INCLUDING SHIPPING AND RECEIVING.

ISOLATE AND QUARANTINE OUT-OF-TOLERANCE OR DAMAGED EQUIPMENT, AND INITIATE APPROPRIATE ACTION. UPDATE AND MANAGE THE CALIBRATION DATABASE AND LOGS.

SUPPORT INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AUDITS BY PROVIDING CALIBRATION-RELATED RECORDS AND EVIDENCE.

PARTICIPATE IN INVESTIGATIONS OF MEASUREMENT ISSUES AND PROVIDE TECHNICAL INPUT ON CALIBRATION-RELATED NONCONFORMANCES.

IDENTIFY AND SEGREGATE OUT-OF-TOLERANCE EQUIPMENT, COORDINATE EXTERNAL CALIBRATION WHEN NECESSARY.

MAINTAIN AND ORGANIZE THE CALIBRATION LAB TO ENSURE A CLEAN AND CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.

ASSIST THE QUALITY MANAGER WITH IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO MEASUREMENT ACCURACY AND CALIBRATION PROCESSES.

WHEN REQUIRED, SUPPORT QUALITY INSPECTION TASKS SUCH AS:

- PERFORMING DIMENSIONAL INSPECTIONS ON PARTS AND ASSEMBLIES PER CUSTOMER DRAWINGS/SPECIFICATIONS.
- VERIFYING MEASUREMENTS AS PER CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS.
- DOCUMENTING INSPECTION RESULTS AND REPORTING NON-CONFORMNACES WHEN DETECTED.

**Skills**

**EDUCATION**
- College diploma or technical certificate in a related field (e.g., Metrology, Quality, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**

Minimum 2 years of experience in calibration of precision measurement tools and equipment in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.

Strong knowledge of metrology principles and calibration practices.

Experience using height gauges, micrometers, calipers, pressure gauges, dial indicators, plug gauges, etc.

**PERSONAL SKILLS**

Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with calibration tracking software.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
