Caffe Fantastico has three vibrant locations in Victoria and serves a locally focused menu. Our kitchen brings upbeat and approachable food to the table, featuring the seasonal bounty of Vancouver Island to accompany our unique selection of local beer, wine, cider and of course coffee

We have an exciting opportunity upcoming as Kitchen Manager/Chef, at our bustling **Tre Fantastico **location at the beautiful Parkside Hotel.

**You will**:

- Work closely with location manager and kitchen team to develop and execute seasonal menu items, evening fresh sheet and daily features
- Understand the Fantastico food culture and concept and play an essential part in bringing to life the restaurant vision
- Coach, lead, manage and offer feedback to team members
- Communicate and collaborate as needed with both Caffe Fantastico Roastery and Fantastico bar-deli kitchens
- Ensure compliance of all HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) to provincial standards
- Complete monthly inventory, maintain current costs
- Prepare weekly invoices for administration
- Maintain quality and consistency of food for dine-in and take out model
- Oversee and report equipment upkeep and maintenance

- Strong planning and analytical skills
- A passion for local and seasonal food and an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and the ability to work seamlessly with others in all departments
- Ability to work independently and are self-motivated
- A clear understanding of an operationally efficient kitchen
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Level 1 and 2 Food Safe

**We Offer**:

- Starting wage of $25-$26.65/hr based on experience plus $2-3 an hour tip pool.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$28.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
