We are currently seeking a **Controls Technician** to join our team. The Controls Technician will be responsible for testing, programming, starting up, and preventative maintenance of the Building Automation Systems (BAS) within the company’s portfolio.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifying and diagnosing BAS operational and control issues, recommending appropriate corrective actions;
- Meeting with tenants and clients regarding BAS issues and remedial actions, if required;
- Working closely with the Chief Building Engineer to ensure the Access Control System functions properly;
- Diagnosing issues with the Access Control System and recommend appropriate actions;
- Working closely with subcontractors and subtrades as required;
- Performing software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system operation;
- Reporting any BAS deficiencies between tdesign build documents and actuals;
- Liaising with contractors to commission and startup the Building Automation Systems for any new builds;
- Completing project commissioning documentation for owner if required;
- Maintaining on‐going project as‐built documentation;
- Assisting the Chief or Owner if equipment trending is required;
- Providing training and information to colleagues on BAS to ensure appropriate levels of cross-training;
- Working safely and in adherence to all OH&S legislation and regulations;
- Reporting unusual situations to the Chief Building Engineer;
- Maintaining clear and orderly work areas.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of commercial controls experience, including HVAC systems, DDC systems, software, and device calibration;
- Relevant technical degree or diploma;
- Knowledge of Distech controls systems would be a strong asset;
- Excellent communication, customer service skills and team player;
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
