**Gateway Mechanical has an exciting opportunity for a 3**rd** year Plumbing Apprentice or Plumber Journeyman (Journeyperson)**

Founded in 1968, Gateway Mechanical is a privately-owned company that has established itself as a leader in the commercial and industrial refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning industry (HVACR). Attending to 40,000+ service calls per year, Gateway is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada. Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal, and electrical trades. These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway’s full technical capability is available for every project and service call.

The **3**rd** year Plumbing Apprentice** will perform quality maintenance services for our valued clients on commercial and industrial sites while showcasing exceptional customer service skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work within commercial and industrial environments
- Complete the required daily equipment inspections, safety reports, and Field Level Hazard Assessments
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform work using hand and power tools in a safe manner
- Read and interpret blueprints, basic spec, and shop drawing interpretation considered an asset
- Maintain clean and operable equipment, vehicle, and work areas at all time
- Maintenance and service of plumbing equipment such as pumps, boilers, and backflows
- Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position._

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- 3rd Year Plumbing Apprentice Documentation
- Previous service experience is required
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and current driver’s abstract
