Ici Framer/carpenter

**_The Opportunity_**_: _**

We are looking for a disciplined, creative and personable Commercial Framer / Carpenter with 3 - 5 years of experience working for general contractors on large projects.

With several large commercial projects underway, we are looking to add skilled producers to our group in the Cornwall region.

**_Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities_**_: _**
- Able to work with blueprints and prepare the layout of the project;
- Work with all construction materials such as wood, steel, drywall, concrete and fiberglass;
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment;
- Erect scaffolding;
- Build concrete forms;
- Assist in the implementation, management and monitoring of the safety program;
- Check work along the way regarding specifications and building code;
- Other tasks as required.

**_Requirements_**_: _**
- Completion of high school is required and a Carpenter’s license is highly desirable;
- Experience in Canadian ICI construction is highly desirable;
- Strong interpersonal and technical skills are required;
- Sheetmetal and siding experience and/or hardware installation experience are important assets;
- Some site supervision / team leadership experience is highly desirable;
- Physically demanding.

We employ 42 people working out of offices in Cornwall and Kingston. We typically focus on institutional, commercial and multi-residential projects in the $0.5M to $30M range._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
