Sorrentino's Cucina + Bar is a well-known Italian restaurant group, recognized for its diverse culinary offerings, private event planning, and a long-standing reputation for quality. **Description**

Our Servers are responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service. This role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages, ensuring a clean dining environment, and addressing customer needs with a professional and friendly attitude. Our Servers play a key role in creating a positive impression of Sorrentino's Cucina + Bar and contributing to a high standard of guest satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and ensure timely service.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the restaurant's menu, including specials and promotions.
- Provide recommendations to guests, including pairing food with beverages.
- Ensure all menu changes, special requests and allergies are communicated effectively to the kitchen.
- Accurately input orders into the POS system and manage transactions.
- Follow the standardized cycle of service to ensure smooth operations during peak times.
- Act as a liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation of utensils and surfaces.
- Assist in pre-shift preparation and post-shift cleanup to ensure the restaurant is always ready for guests.
- Engage in suggestive selling and upselling techniques to increase guest satisfaction and sales.
- Handle payments accurately, processing cash and credit card transactions.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including liquor laws, health codes and operational standards.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment (2-3 years preferred).
- ProServe Certification required.
- Fluent in English.
- Full availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and optimal memorization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Knowledge of point of sale (POS) systems and basic cash handling.
- Maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and personal hygiene at all times.
- A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and providing excellent customer service.
