Commensurate with placement on the SMS Salary Grid, based on years of teaching experience & education _(TQS Category)._

**Summary**
The Enrichment Coordinator is a member of the Student Services and FYs, MYs, and SYs Teaching Teams (JK to Grade 12) and aims to facilitate whole school commitment to inclusion and support of students with identified and diagnosed needs.
The Enrichment Coordinator promotes an inclusive learning environment via the coordination, oversight, and monitoring of students with identified and diagnosed needs.
The Enrichment Coordinator works in cooperation with the Deputy Heads, Vice Principals, Counsellors, Teachers, Education Assistants, Services Providers, Instructional Leadership Team, Admissions, Residence, and Parents to serve the best interests of students.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
**_ Academic Program Components_**
- Oversee the implementation of St. Margaret’s School Model of Response to Intervention, Special Education and Learning Support Practices across the school (JK to Grade 12)
- Advocate for and involve students and parents as a resource in the development, implementation, and review of strengths-based Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Adapted Plans, Behavioral Support Plans, and Personal Care Plans
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with parents of children with identified or diagnosed needs
- Guide and support the work of the Personalized Learning Teachers and Education Assistants
- Contribute to and support evidence-based professional learning for teaching colleagues and support staff as needed
- Coordinate external services (JK to 12)
- Attend weekly FYs, MYs and SYs weekly planning meetings, lunch information meetings, and school-based team meetings as needed (may need to facilitate or attend as participant depending on the purpose of meeting)
- Assist in the organization of relevant extended assessment forms and in the collation of
- information required for accountability
- Oversee development and completion of databases for students with diagnosed and identified learning needs; support provided and other relevant inclusions
- Lead weekly/biweekly team meetings with education assistants and learning support teachers/ Collaboration Block
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Deputy Heads and Vice Principals
- Work collaboratively to create IEPs/AEPs and complete progress reports three times a year
- Meet with, at a minimum, twice a year with student’s families with identified needs
- Work with Learning Support team to make sure all students with identified needs complete a strengths-based profile
- Ensures student voice has a place in their IEP.
**_Placement Assessments_**
- Assist with coordination and entry assessments for JK to Grade 12 students with diagnosed needs
- Assist with selection of appropriate assessment tools and/or interview questions for applicants with diagnosed needs
- Chair placement meetings to make decisions based on assessment results and teacher
recommendations
- Inform parents and students (when appropriate), of assessment results and placement decisions
**Required Education and Experience**
- Bachelor of Education or relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Master’s degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or a related field (preferred or in progress)
- BC Teacher Certification (or eligibility for certification through the BC Ministry of Education - Teacher Regulation Branch)
- Additional qualifications in areas such as:
- Learning Support
- Educational Psychology
- Behavioural Intervention
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Executive Functioning and/or Neurodiversity (asset)
- Minimum 5 years experience in a related field.
