**About the Opportunity**

At Wilderness North, we operate across three interconnected streams: world-class wilderness lodges and outpost camps, a fleet of float-equipped aircraft, and innovative fuel transport technologies that serve Canada’s most remote regions.

To keep everything running smoothly, we’re building a Wilderness Support Team—a group of capable, hands-on people who can step in to help maintain our aircraft, facilities, and remote properties throughout the season.

Whether you’re semi-retired, between careers, or simply looking for something meaningful and hands-on, this is your chance to be part of a team that flies into Ontario’s wilderness to care for the details that keep our operation exceptional. You might be prepping a remote cabin for guests, detailing a floatplane, or helping open or close a camp for the season.

This is flexible, contract-style work suited to individuals based in Thunder Bay who are physically fit, dependable, and excited by the idea of flying into the bush for a few days at a time to support a unique northern operation.

Support Team Responsibilities

Members of the Wilderness Support Team may be called upon for tasks such as:

- Cleaning and detailing interiors and exteriors of our aircraft (Air Tractor 802s, DeHavilland Turbine Otters, Beavers, Cessna 208Bs, and 185s).
- Assisting with touch-up work on aircraft, equipment, and facility structures.
- Deep-cleaning, restocking, and preparing guest cabins at outpost camps and lodges.
- Participating in seasonal camp openings and closings, including hauling gear and prepping facilities.
- Cleaning and maintaining boats and equipment used at remote properties.
- Organizing and cleaning hangars and operational areas at our Thunder Bay and Armstrong bases.
- Traveling via floatplane to perform multi-day assignments in remote locations.
- Reporting maintenance needs and supporting minor repair tasks.
- Operating cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Following all safety protocols and environmental standards.

**How It Works**

As part of the Wilderness Support Team, you’ll be added to our list of trusted team members we call upon as needs arise—especially during high-traffic periods like spring openings, seasonal closings, and peak guest turnover times.

Assignments may range from a single day of work in Thunder Bay to multi-day trips into the bush. We’ll match opportunities to your skillset and availability.

**Compensation**

We offer competitive pay based on your experience and the scope of work performed. Compensation will be discussed individually with each team member.
