**Heavy Equipment Operator**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, loading, and material handling. You will play a critical role in our construction and/or industrial projects, ensuring efficient and safe operation of heavy equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, or backhoes, in a safe and efficient manner according to project requirements.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Safely and effectively operate controls to excavate, grade, level, and move earth, rock, rubble, or other materials as required.
- Follow project plans, blueprints, or verbal instructions to accurately complete tasks, including excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, production, and maintenance activities.
- Comply with environmental regulations and standards during all operations.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification.
- **Must have 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment**, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, or backhoes
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Physical strength and stamina to work in outdoor environments and withstand long hours of operating heavy equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
