Calgary, Canada Rocky Mountain Property Maintenance Full time

Rocky Mountain Property Maintenance Ltd. is looking for a landscape construction lead. The lead will be responsible for overseeing entire landscaping jobs. Monitoring and training new and existing workers, supervising the use of equipment and ensuring staff are following proper safety guidelines and protocols. The lead has to be responsible for coordinating and controlling the project progress to ensure timely completion as per pre-determined schedules

We are looking for an individual with 5 years experience in landscape construction that can read and familiarize themselves with all plans and specifications of each job. That has the knowledge and skillset to install hardscapes such as patios, walkways, retaining walls and that has the and skillset to install softscapes such as basework, planting, sodding, etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and familiarize with all plans and specifications of each job.
- Carry and install sod, shrubs, trees and flowers.
- Haul and rake in soil, rock, and mulch.
- Use hand tools, power tools and other landscaping equipment.
- Lay brick, concrete blocks, stone, and other landscape materials.
- Have experience operating skid steer, ditch witch, mini excavator etc.
- Keep worksite clean and organized.
- Experience driving a truck and trailer required.
- Complete other duties as required.

Qualifications:

- Experience of 5 years minimum landscape construction.
- Comfortable with long hours outdoors and unpredictable weather.
- Ability to take direction (verbal and written), learn and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform all other physical requirements (repetitive motion, bending, kneeling, and standing).
- Valid Class 5 license and reliable vehicle is required.
- Must be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work alone without supervision.
- Must be able to operate various pieces of equipment (skid steer, ditch witch, mini excavator etc.)

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Skilled Labor: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
