We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator for our facility located at 725 Hampstead Close, Annacis Island Delta, British Columbia. In this role, you will manage all aspects of Health and Safety of facility personnel through managing established health and safety programs. This position involves leading the Safety Team, attending daily production meetings and spending time in the production environment but also performing administrative tasks.

- Conduct workplace inspections, safety walks, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and contractor safety requirements.
- Review, update, and audit safety programs, communications, and contractor boards.
- Maintain accessible safety documentation and ensure plant documents align with corporate policies.
- Oversee accident investigations and identify root causes.
- Implement preventive measures and ensure long-term effectiveness.
- Coordinate with HR to develop, schedule, and manage safety training.
- Support facility and individual safety goals.

- College or University degree in Health and Safety
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of safety related laws and regulations
- Highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Analytical and critical thinking skills with an aptitude to quickly absorb new procedures and new industry advancements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
