**Job Overview**
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse by performing a variety of tasks including customer service, picking and packing orders, receiving and stocking warehouse products. The Warehouse Associates work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork are essential. A trade union has been recently certified as the bargaining agent for specific North Pole Trim and Supplies employees, and this position falls within the bargaining unit.
**Responsibilities**
- Provides exceptional customer service.
- Accurately fulfills customer orders.
- Completes required paperwork.
- Performs physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking materials.
- Stocks and retrieves warehouse products (e.g., doors, trim, hinges).
- Loads and organizes materials (doors, trim, jambs, hardware, etc.,) onto trucks.
- Operates hand and power tools as needed.
- Drives trucks within the yard if appropriately licenced.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Assists with loading and unloading materials.
- Safely operates a forklift if trained and certified.
- Helps with deliveries as needed.
- Reports incidents, hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Follows safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support supervisors, team members and other areas.
**Education**
- High school diploma or GED is required.
**Experience**
- 1 year of warehouse experience in the construction supplies industry is preferred.
**Required License and Certification**
- Valid G License is preferred.
- Forklift Licence is an asset.
**Skills**
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
- Ability to use hand tools, saws, and mechanical equipment safely.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Keep up in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Perform simple calculations for measurements and quantities.
- Read and understand work orders, packing lists, and safety instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow safety policies and guidelines.
- Work professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and management.
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms.
- Interact with customers in a polite and professional manner.

Pay: $21.10 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
