**SUMMARY - **_Cash Applications Supervisor_**
**_ Shift:_** Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm
Reporting to Accounts Receivable & Cash Applications Director, the **Cash Applications Supervisor** is responsible to implement the processing of electronic and manual remittance transactions, posting complex payment and contractual adjustments to client accounts, reconciling cash transactions, bank statements, third party remittances, e-transfers and credit card payments.

**KEY ACTIVITIES**
**Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of Cash Applications team members, ensuring that the team is adhering to corporate and department policies and procedures.
- Facilitate and execute the timely and accurate posting of daily cash receipts for revenue for all areas of TransX, including TransX USA
- Maintain Cash master files and cross references.
- Identify ways to implement process improvements related to Cash Application tasks.
- Contact remitters for missing payment details, or accounts receivable team
- Review and prepare monthly payment reconciliations
- Participate in system testing and troubleshooting.
- Prepare periodic metrics for management.
- Back-up for members on the team
- Work on special projects as requested by management.
- Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external
**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**
**_ Education_**
- Grade 12 - Required
- Certified Credit Professional Program and/or other accounting programs - Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting - Preferred
**_ Experience_**
- Experience in trucking and transportation or related field - Preferred
- Experience with Credit review/processing - Preferred
- Knowledge of Great Plains and TMW - Preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Action oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- Intermediate or higher skill using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and banking procedures
- Strong math, accounting and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work within tight deadlines
- Proficient with data entry using a 10 key numeric keypad
- Motivated and conscientious team player capable of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
