Salmon Arm, Canada Precision Aluminum Full time

Precision Aluminum Manufacturing is an aluminum railing manufacturing company specializing in commercial high rise buildings. We have been in business since 2005 and we are located in the Salmon Arm industrial park. We are looking for a purchaser to join our team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Issue purchase orders for manufacturing needs
- Expedite materials or services as required on construction sites
- Responsible for inventory tracking, forecasting, and procurement
- Tracking of shipment schedules and deliveries
- Match packing slips of orders received with PO
- Resolve and negotiate cost, quality, lead-time, packaging and other purchasing related issues and concerns with suppliers
- Conduct background review of each supplier and update regularly
- Build and sustain supplier contacts and cross-functional working relationships

- Accuracy and Attention to Detail
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft platforms
- Minimum 3 years' experience in buying/purchasing or procurement
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain, and/or equivalent experience an asset
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning tools, intermediate computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation, time
- management and organizational skills
- Demonstrate understanding of best practices for purchasing
- May be required to exert force using the upper body up to 25 lbs

**Education**: Bachelor's degree
- Construction or building material industry (min 3 years)

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
