**Hours**: 40+ hrs. / week (Overtime when required)

Reporting to the General Manager of Fleet and Maintenance, the Cost Analyst will collect and analyze financial information related to Nuna Group of Company's Fleet and Maintenance variances and expenses. Assisting the General Manager with report creation and seeking ways to improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts, as well as provide recommendations through analytics to reduce all fleet costs. The Cost Analyst will assist in the assessment of fleet company performance by study and analysis of financial and operational data. The Cost Analyst will act as a catalyst in the continuous improvement process by supplying analytical support.

**_ Duties/Responsibilities:_**
- Analyzes expenses and cost transactions.
- Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labour, and inventory.
- Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs.
- Estimate product costs for existing and new products.
- Provides detailed financial analysis and reports, includes breakdowns of project costs, forecasts of remaining expenses, and opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Conducts market research as needed.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
- Forecast future fleet requirements.
- Support development of annual equipment rates.
- During project estimation stage, participate in project specific equipment rate development.

**_Required Skills/Abilities:_**
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software as well as accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards and Power BI.

**_ Education and Experience:_**
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business is an asset.
- At least three years of related experience required.
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Have experience as requested in the job description above
