Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Business and IT, the Sessional Lecturer provides instruction to undergraduate students in **INFR 2370U -**Game Sound**

**The current schedule is**:
**Friday (Lecture) - 5:10 PM - 8:00 PM**

**Thursday (Tutorial) - 5:10 PM - 8:00 PM**

**Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
The primary responsibility of the applicant_ _is_ _to (develop and) teach a theoretically, methodologically sophisticated and relevant course at the university level within the parameters of the course description listed above. In keeping with a technology-enhanced learning environment utilizing laptop computers and wireless connectivity, the Sessional Lecturer will deliver the course using a technology-enhanced learning approach that includes a variety of inclusive teaching and learning strategies and assessments. The Sessional Lecturer will prepare, deliver and grade all course material and assignments and be available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session.

**Qualifications**:
**Note that this course will be delivered in-person at Ontario Tech University’s North Campus in Oshawa, Ontario.**

**Required Skills**:
Technical skills:

- Experience with game audio design and development.
- Experience working with digital audio workstations such as Reaper, FL Studio, etc.
- Experience with Fmod and Fmod Studio.

Teaching and administrative skills:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to respond to student enquiries and to grade assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- High level of comfort with interacting with students and colleagues using online modalities such as Google Meet and Kaltura.
- Ability to manage a course effectively using a Learning Management System.
- An ability to develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies.
- An ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural and diverse community.

**Education**
- A Bachelors degree in a game development program or computer science program AND at least two years of industry experience related to game sound; OR
- A College diploma in a game development program or computer science program AND at least five years of industry experience related to game sound; OR
- A Bachelors degree in a game development program or computer science program AND documented evidence of having taught this course or its equivalent (80% of content identical to INFR 2370) at the university level within the past three years; OR
- A MSc in Computer Science; OR
- A Masters in a degree directly related to game development.

**Required Experience**:
Priority will be given to an Internal Applicant who has taught any course for the University in three (3) different sessions in the past thirty-six (36) months, provided they meet the requirements for the position as outlined in the job posting.
