**Duties**:
Environmental Profile:
The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to users, drafting procedures, participating in staff training and awareness-raising, reviewing environmental assessments, and conducting inspections. You will also work closely with all military and civilian organizations present on your installation and its satellite sites as well as with colleagues from other installations.. As part of your work, you will have the opportunity to participate in internal working groups and conferences to interact with other environmental Advisors from the Department of National Defence.

Contaminated Site Profile:
The Contaminated Sites team serves most of the properties occupied by the Department of National Defence in Quebec, with the main facilities located in the Quebec City, Montreal, and Montérégie regions. As a Contaminated Sites Advisor, you will be responsible for project management (characterization, restoration, risk management) on contaminated (or potentially contaminated) sites currently occupied by the Department of National Defence. Project management includes drafting quotations, evaluating costs, coordinating procurement, monitoring budgets, conducting field visits, and reviewing deliverables. You will also be required to conduct environmental studies or provide advice on properties the Department wishes to acquire or divest, or as part of infrastructure projects (excavations, backfilling). Our department is equipped with a geo-referenced environmental database operated via ArcGIS Pro; this work tool allows us to provide rapid and accurate environmental advice.
