**Role Purpose**: General Labourer’s will be responsible for assisting in all shop functions, operating heavy machinery, and following all site health and safety regulations. Tasks will vary according to where assistance is required.

**Reports To**: Shop Supervisor

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the cleanliness of the shop floor.
- Operate hand tools and power tools for a variety of tasks.
- Operate overhead crane and lift truck.
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables.
- Complete vehicle checks to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Deliver/pick up product and proper paperwork to/from our customers and vendors.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
- Complete daily tasks such as, but not limited to, overhead crane inspections, forklift inspections, and compressor inspection and maintenance.
- Check coolant levels and concentrations on as needed.
- Oil milling machines as needed.
- When applicable, complete snow removal on steps, entranceways and vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be motivated and have a team oriented attitude.
- Must have a good understanding of customer service.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
