Drafting Design Technician

**Role Overview**:
You will collaborate closely with our Lead Designers and clients to bring their vision to life with your strong technical knowledge and creativity. Your precision, accuracy and communication is key to helping deliver on a seamless client experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Lead Designers to produce detailed 3D models and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Independently develop full construction drawings.
- Communicate with clients, engineers, project consultants, and builders.
- Measure existing residential and commercial buildings and produce as-built drawings based on site visit.
- Create stunning visualizations and renderings that effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to continually enhance your skills and provide cutting-edge solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 4 years of experience of Architecture or Drafting in a reputable building design firm.
- A minimum of 1 year certificate in Architectural Drafting required (2 year diploma or 4 year degree preferred.)
- Proficiency in using Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your past projects and ability to create visually compelling designs.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
- Full understanding of BC BUILDING CODE Part 9 including 9.32 and 9.36
- Understanding of BCBC Part 3 is an asset
- Ability to conduct a full zoning analysis and project feasibility study

**Skills / Attitudes**
- Familiar with 3D rendering software (Twinmotion, Enscape, Lumion, etc.)
- Ability to visualize 3D objects
- The ability to work well autonomously and within a team setting

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
