**Position Summary**:
The Utilities Maintenance Associate (Morning Shift) will be responsible to support the Maintenance operational functions of Brampton Distribution center and perform daily activities according to the quality procedures and established safe work standards of the facility.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement scheduled maintenance on industrial batteries
Develop and implement scheduled acid clean on MHE battery tray
Manage all inspections and preventative programs using the SPROCKET CMMS program.
Maintain records related to duties performed and equipment serviced on the SPROCKET CMMS program.
Safely operate/clean/maintain the semi-automatic battery wash bay
Ensures that waste and byproducts from batteries are disposed of according to Occupational Health & Safety.
Maintain all tools, work area, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards.
Perform lock-out, battery installation/removal, and chemical clean
Communicate with associates and effectively inform on battery service
Perform watering, cleaning, and other preventative maintenance tasks required on industrial batteries and chargers
Respond to service calls for battery and charger diagnosis and repair
Identify & recommend additional repairs/services required on batteries/MHE
Work with fellow technicians to coordinate necessary repairs
Load baled corrugate to a trailer and collect all corrugate throughout DC
Unload corrugate trailer and load on storage racks using MHE
Unload skid trailer using MHE
Perform warehouse cleaning using a scrubber and other cleaning tools
Proficient in operating various MHE, including order picker, walkie, reach truck, forklift, turret trucks skyjack/motored evaluated platforms.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
**Job Requirements and Skills**:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Current Certification (i.e., stock picker, reach, counterbalance) preferred
Must be able to pass written and driving equipment operator test
Must be able to read pertinent information in English on an RF device and carton
Must be quality and efficiency
- oriented
Must be able to lift cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must have a successful track record of working safely
Must be flexible and cooperative when asked to perform other duties
Must be able to walk/stand all day and bend, lift and push
Must be able to work from a platform that reaches 30 feet high
Perform daily inspections of equipment as needed
