**About the Opportunity**:
As a Cylindrical Grinder Level 1, you'll be key to grinding or machining customer and WHC components to exact specifications with maximum efficiency, ensuring every output is high-quality. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who's eager to be a productive member of our team

**What You'll Do**:

- Grind or machine components to required specifications efficiently, ensuring high-quality results.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be a productive team player.
- Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using various instruments (micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, pre-set gauges).
- Inspect completed units for defects and conformance to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine operational methods.
- Machine or grind external/internal cylindrical and tapered surfaces.
- Select appropriate machining tools or grinding wheels, and mount/balance them.
- Inspect machine tools and grinding wheels for damage or cracks.
- Use dressing devices on grinding stones.
- Confirm finished workpieces meet design specifications.
- Perform rough and finish grinding on various surfaces.
- Ensure proper guards are used on all machines.
- Monitor machines during operation.
- Set up and secure holding fixtures, grinding tools, and materials.
- Operate magnets, centers, 4-jaw chucks, and lathes.
- Use lifts, cranes, and hoists for material transfer.
- Maintain your workspace, equipment, and tools, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Collaborate with supervisory and manufacturing personnel to share technical information.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- **Hourly Rate**: Between **$26.00 to $30.00 CAD per hour**, depending on role, level, skills, experience, and education.

**Work Details**:

- **Shift**: You'll need to be flexible for day, evening, overtime, and potential weekend shifts.
- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
- **Expected Hours**: 40 hours per week.
- **Location**: 9625 58 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 2W3 (on-site work required).
- **Language**: French isn't required.

**What You'll Need**:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum **5 years of experience** as a Machinist or 5 years as a Cylindrical Grinder (or equivalent).
- Mechanical Technology education.
- Willingness to work shift work (day/evening).

**Even Better If You Have**:

- Journeyman Machinist Certification.
- CNC Machining experience.
